Privacy
Effective October 22, 2026
In short: Flamesitter keeps only what you tell it, so it can show your progress. We never sell your data. We don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or analytics companies. You can ask us to delete everything at any time.
Flamesitter is made by Curisolve Inc. This policy covers the Flamesitter website, the iPhone and iPad app, and the Apple Watch app.
What we keep
- Your email address or phone number, so you can sign in.
- What you add to Flamesitter: your projects, your nightly answers, notes, milestones, rest days and days off.
- Your reminder time and time zone.
- If you join the waiting list: your name and email address.
We also keep a simple record of what happens in your account, like "a check-in was saved", so we can fix problems. It never includes what your notes say.
How we use it
Only to run Flamesitter for you: to save your progress, show it on all your devices, and remind you at the time you pick. We don't use it for anything else. Waiting-list names and email addresses are used only to invite you to Flamesitter.
Who can see it
- You. Nobody else using Flamesitter can see your data.
- A few service providers that help us run Flamesitter, for example to store your data and to send sign-in codes. They may use your data only to provide that service, and they must protect it at least as well as this policy says.
- AI tools you connect yourself, like Claude or ChatGPT. They can only read, never change anything, and they see your notes only if you allow it. Once connected, the AI tool's own privacy policy covers what it reads. You can disconnect them at any time in Settings.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data.
- Show ads, or share your data with advertisers.
- Use tracking or analytics companies.
- Use your data to train AI.
- Look at your calendar, contacts, photos, location or health data.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. Your apps also keep a copy on your devices, so Flamesitter works offline. A waiting-list entry is kept until you're invited or ask us to remove it.
Deleting your data
In Flamesitter's Settings, under Your data, choose Delete account and confirm with a code. We delete your account and everything in it right away, on every device. Copies in our encrypted backups are gone within 30 days. You can also email ember@curisolve.com from the email address or phone number you use for Flamesitter, and we'll do it for you.
To keep a copy of your data, choose Export in the same place. You get a .zip of spreadsheets with your projects, check-ins and days off.
Keeping it safe
Your data is encrypted on its way to Flamesitter. Signing in uses one-time codes, so there is no password to steal. If something ever goes wrong that affects your data, we'll tell you.
Children
Flamesitter is not for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date. If a change matters for your data, we'll tell you in the app first.
